MEUS este o simulare a procesului de decizie de la vârful Uniunii Europene, un proiect ce aduce laolaltă anual, în luna aprilie,mai mult de 180 de tineri europeni la sediul Parlamentului European din Strasbourg, Franța. De la crearea acestui proiect în 2007 peste 1300 de tineri europeni au trecut pragul Parlamentului din Strasbourg.Pentru o săptămână, participanții vor avea oportunitatea de a participa la o simulare politică de nivel european, prin preluarea unor roluri de Membri ai Parlamentului European, Miniștri în Consiliul Uniunii Europene, jurnaliști, lobbyști și interpreți. Prin intermediul acestor roluri participanţii urmăresc și modelează procedura legislativă dezbătând intens două propuneri legislative „fierbinți” pe agenda europeană.

Centre for Promotion of Intercultural Dialogue participates in 7th Global Forum of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations, in Baku, Republic of Azerbaijan, 26-27 April 2016

President of the Centre for Promotion of Intercultural Dialogue, Prof. Dr. Mihai Vladimirescu attended the 7th Global Forum of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations, in Baku, Republic of Azerbaijan, on 26-27 April 2016, with theme: “Living Together In Inclusive Societies: A Challenge and A Goal.”The Global Forum is the highest-profile event of the UN Alliance of Civilizations, bringing together prominent personalities, current and potential partners, and others from different sectors. 3000 representatives of more than 140 countries attended the Forum.

The European Culture Forum is an event organized every two years by the European Commission. The goals are to raise the profile of European cultural cooperation, unite the sector’s key players and engage the debate about EU culture policy and initiatives. On this years Forum there were larger plenary sessions that focused on the main goals of the European Agenda for Culture. The two full days of debates included smaller, technical sessions dealing with the work of the EU. Plenary sessions started with inspirational speeches that intended to stimulate and provoke the following moderated panel debates in which the audience participated by sharing its experiences, views and questions.
